Celestial-Inspired Dessert Wedding With Spanish Details

Boho Celestial Wedding
Quick! Describe your dream day in 10 words or less! If you’re thinking bohemian, in the desert, celestial, Spanish-influenced, romantic, edgy, and/or mystical, you’d get along well with the team at Sitting in a Tree. This is exactly how Christine + Charles envisioned their day, much to the delight (and expertise!) of the Sitting in a Tree team. They agreed on a color palette of quartz, violet, ivory and chambray tones – how could you go wrong with such a dreamy scheme?! Throw in a mix of Palm Springs, florals that pop, and starry design elements, and you’ve set the stage for C+C’s perfect day.
Christine gave us a little more insight into the day’s inspiration: When we were dating we’d drive to the desert to unwind and take in the scenery. We love the laid back atmosphere and beautiful backdrop the sky offers. We were inspired by all the colors of the desert and also wanted to include celestial touches because of our love of space and astronomy. We wanted our wedding to make our guest feel at home and also include some Spanish influences to point back to my culture. We fell in love with Casa de Monte Vista and couldn’t think of a better place that had all the things we wanted to include.
Trisha of Birds of a Feather was the talented photographer on hand, capturing beautiful moments between Christine + Charles, and all their lovely details!Boho Celestial Wedding

Our Advice To Those Planning Now
Don't sweat the small stuff. We saw our wedding not only a celebration of our love, but also a celebration for all our friends and family that showed us love along the journey. We wanted that to be the main focus and decided from the beginning that every extra detail was just a plus. It helped to find amazing planners that really understood our vision, as well.

Our Favorite Memory From The Wedding
One of the reasons I really love Charles is because of his sense of humor. True to his fashion, he made a joke before the cake cutting and we both couldn't stop laughing. We still have a laugh every time we think of that moment and look at it as a time during the craziness of the day that was truly our own.

Boho Styling Tips for Your Ring Bearer + Flower Girl

When dreaming up ensemble ideas for the big day, it’s easy to forget about the littlest members of the bridal party. After all, there’s already a ton to think about, and a constant stream of things is being added to your to-do list all the time. But these cuties – and their wedding day look – definitely deserve some careful thought, so today we’re teaming up with Amanda from  Bohemian Babies  +  Cindy Lee Photography  to help with some styling ideas + a shopping guide for your Ring Bearer + Flower Girl! Amanda tells us, For this shoot,   I wanted to capture a simplistic and natural feel that would mesh well with any wedding décor. The neutral color palette plays well with the fairytale feel that Cindy captured in the photos. Many times, my designs are inspired by a particular fabric, trim or detail and that certain held true here. The yellow floral fabric was taken from a vintage sheet that I had be...

A Rose Gold Glam Dinner Party

Entertaining // April 24, 2017 What’s the only thing better than a dinner party? Oh… just one that’s SUPER PRETTY and 70s-inspired, that’s what! We here at GWS, wholeheartedly believe that dinner parties don’t need to be an occasional thing or happen just to celebrate a significant event. But rather, each + every day with your loved ones is a reason to celebrate, and as dinner parties promote community + relationships, they should happen all the time — right?! Well, that’s exactly what this “Tassels & Tastemakers” dinner party is all about: celebrating friends, creative vendors, and the relationships forged in the wedding industry! We’re totally on board with that. :) To inspire you to host you’re own dinner party, we’re giving you the inside scoop into this year’s 1970s-inspired event, held at HNYPT in Los Angeles, and produced by Be Inspired PR . Today is an exciting day as we are thrilled to launch our SECOND collection of bridesmaid dresses + a romper  with our friends at  Show Me Your Mumu !!! And YES, it’s still available for those of you planning a spring or summer wedding next year!! Well this time around we worked with their team on a new floral print – yep, we LOVE florals for bridesmaids – or any day actually! :) This time we wanted to do something a bit darker (perfect for fall or winter weddings) and we also wanted the dress to pair with some of the most popular hues for weddings right now. The florals on this print are blush + dark pink and the leaves are a perfect gray green color. We’re calling this one our “Wedding Soiree Floral” print and it’s seriously GORGE in person!! The print comes in 3 dress styles (Caitlin, Kendall and Sophia) a...
